I’m passionate about transforming how we care for women through every stage of life. As a physician, educator, and researcher at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, I’m driven to bridge science, empathy, and innovation in women’s health.
Equally central to my work is a deep commitment to medical education. I’m dedicated to developing the next generation of physicians who are not only clinically excellent but also compassionate, inclusive, and equipped to advance the future of medicine. As Dean of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine – Arizona campus, I’m honored to help shape learning environments that inspire curiosity, leadership, and innovation.
I serve as Professor of Medicine, Chair of the Division of Women’s Health Internal Medicine, and Assistant Director of the Women’s Health Center. My clinical and research focus includes menopause, sexual health, LGBTQ+ care, and sex- and gender-specific medicine.
Nationally recognized as a leader in menopause and sexual health, I speak frequently at professional meetings and have published extensively in the field. I’m a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, Fellow and Board Member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), and Board Member of the American Medical Women’s Association Sex and Gender Health Collaborative.
When she’s not working, Jewel spends her time traveling with her husband and two children, enjoying indie shows, and recharging with a ride on her Peloton.

Dr. Jandra Mueller earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Pacific University in 2012 and her Master’s degree in Integrative Health and Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health in 2020. Dr. Mueller applies a comprehensive, holistic approach to treating pelvic health conditions throughout all phases of life, with a special interest in pelvic pain and endometriosis. Jandra has also played a pivotal role in shaping educational initiatives, speaking at international conferences to educate healthcare professionals on the critical importance of pelvic health. She is actively involved with the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) on the Scientific Committee and as the current Education Committee Chair. Her passion for pelvic health has expanded into her hobbies, most recently in crocheting pelvic health medical models. In her spare time she also loves reading mindless romance or fantasy novels and painting by numbers!
Jandra unwinds through crocheting, bringing to life everything from educational pelvic health models to playful creations like Goku, Gritty, and Ghost Spider. When she’s not stitching, she’s making the most of her (very limited!) free time with her stepdaughter—swimming, dancing around the house, playing board games, and embracing the chaos of house gymnastics.
