International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health

ISSWSH ListServ/Forum

ISSWSH membership comes with several benefits, one of which is ISSWSHNET. ISSWSHNET is a resource for the ISSWSH membership to be able to consult with expert colleagues on approaches to diagnosis and management of challenging sexual health concerns in their patients. The focus of ISSWSHNET is geared toward addressing the sexual health concerns of women, although the concern may also involve the couple. Multidisciplinary sexual medicine experts from around the world are able to weigh in with advice, strategies, techniques, and/or approaches to care based on the available evidence from research or from their own clinical practice and expertise.

Together we can make ISSWSHNET a valuable resource for members to receive advice on where patients can be referred for an expert second opinion or care in a specific area of female sexual medicine, as well as serve as a potential repository of expertise from around the world and from a variety of disciplines, research, and clinical practice settings.

Our listserv provides a venue for the interchange and debate of contemporary views in the field and discussion of difficult cases. The standing policy is to publish only informational content. Please do not make derogatory statements or post any commercial references or make any commercial endorsements (i.e., products, books, videos, clinics, institutes). Also do not post meeting announcements or non-ISSWSH CEU opportunities to the list. We have a separate bulletin board for this and all announcements will need to be approved before posting. We can send a notice to the list to check the boards when a new item is listed. Personal messages should be sent only to the intended member. For difficult cases, please try to include a brief history: patient's age, psychological therapies attempted, partnership status, medications tried, concomitant medical conditions, duration of symptoms, menopausal status, and any other pertinent data before discussing the particular symptoms.

It is a great privilege to welcome you to Austin, TX for the 2015 Annual Meeting of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health. Situated on the banks of the Colorado River, Austin traces its origins back to nomadic tribes of Tonkawa, Comanche and Lipan Apache Indians that once frequented the area. The meeting will provide excellent opportunities to learn, discuss and inspire, all to the benefit of current and future patients in Women’s Sexual Health.

The ISSWSH 2015 Annual Meeting will provide a comprehensive program shaping knowledge and practice in women’s sexual health. Important information will be offered in education, scientific, controversial and poster sessions. The Scientific Program Committee will ensure high quality presentations from renowned specialists. Selected topics and presentations will reflect state-of-the-art developments in all fields of women’s sexual health.

The ISSWSH 2015 Annual Meeting is specifically designed for physicians, practicing therapists, basic researchers and other healthcare professionals (physicians’ assistants, physicians-in-training, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals, etc.) involved and/or interested in the field of women’s sexual health.
